happy birthday to me

a glass of Moét and pasta among the trees in Tanunda whilst being quietly rained on was how my wild evening of turning 19 played out.

The 20th of September was a chaotic day of scrambling around trying to get away before the rain decided to pour down on us. I said goodbye to my lovely family and a lot more than a few tears were shed, they are truly some of my best friends. Proud that we were finally leaving much to some people's surprise (shoutout to James - whom now owes me a case of cider thanks x ), we slowly chugged up towards the Barossa. She now only reaches a solid 80km/hr! we pulled together some late-night sandwiches for dinner and called it a night.

19 ~ a seriously anti-climatic birthday, yet it's the last year of being a teenager and feeling like you can still mess around aimlessly for a little while longer. a late brekkie at the cutest cafe and a warm chai latte with kind company is a good birthday to me.

So far nothing super extravagant to report except that despite only being on day 2, we are happily chilling. the van is cozy, the cooking is a good challenge and there's no timelines or pressure. and yes, van name is STILL pending....

Sending love from a well-lit carpark in Nuriootpa
