unlucky weather and cold showers

It is day 5 of van life with Emi and Elle. The Barossa is a lovely location in South Australia but also can only be enjoyed and appreciated to the fullest in the sunshine. We have been potatoeing around and waking up at 11 am to the rain and the occasional leaf blower. Questionable looks from onlookers as we clamber out of the van with messy hair is now an everyday experience.
Since my last post, we have headed up to Angaston and spent a couple of nights in a park just off of the main street. The little town was quaint and scenic, I would've liked to explore a bit more. We bought a jar of raw honey of which we eat too much of, with peanut butter on bread for a wholesome lunch. The effort of making dinner has also slowly decreased; see last night's dinner below : ) yummmmy!

Today, we headed back to Tanunda in hopes of a warm and cleansing shower, but the cruel reality was a numbing but refreshing 2-minute rinse of hyperventilating whilst convincing myself that 'yes i DO actually need a shower'. We then cruised up north passing through Tarlee, Auburn, and the supposedly 'haunted' town of Kapunda, and have parked ourselves in Clare for the night.
Fingers and toes crossed that we will be able to locate a local market of sorts, and maybe even a game of country footy over the next few days if we're lucky!
Missing home more than I thought I would and the convenience of simple things like fresh warm coffee and family banter.
Ciao,
Elle
